It is just gone 2pm on 7th April 2021, this evening marks the start of Yom HaShoah 2021 or Holocaust Memorial Day.

Even though this atrocity took place around the middle of the last century, the memories are still very alive in the Jewish community and they will always be very alive.

Around Six million innocent men, women and children were murdered!

Antisemitism was nothing new, the Jews had been persecuted since the Middle Ages but Hitler took this hatred to a whole new level.

Between 1941 and 1945 these 6 million Jews were murdered in camps such as Auschwitz, Bełżec, Majdanek, Chełmno, Sobibór, and Treblinka in gas chambers, gas vans, through mass shootings and by just perishing in awful conditions.

You would hope that this would stand as a lesson for all, a lesson on how hatred can spread and be a disease in society that grows uncontrollably and that we would never go there again!

And yet it seems that some have not listened to this lesson or their ignorance blocks it out?

Just last year this man was photographed wearing a ‘Camp Auschwitz’ top with the protesters who stormed the US Capitol.

And this is just one photo!

It baffles me how anyone can think that Nazism is something to believe in, to follow after what we know from World War 2? Why, just why?

The spread of racism seems to be growing uncontrollably and we look on thinking ‘here we go again’.

But some think that just because there is racism, we won’t see the types of camps that existed in World War 2!

In China’s Xinjiang region around One Million people have disappeared, most are Uighur Muslims. Although of course they haven’t just disappeared, they are in political ‘re-education’ camps to enforce loyalty to the Communist Party.

We said “Never Again” and yet it is happening again.

We cannot allow this to happen again!
