Many of us have countless photos stored on our phones, tablets and laptops but now they are rarely printed off and I think that is a shame, you cannot beat looking through physical photos!

When I got the opportunity to review the Saal Professional Line Photobook, I knew instantly what would be in it.

The Saal Professional Line Photobook

I am now the keeper of all the family photos, even the ones of my mum and her brothers and sisters when they were young and she doesn’t have any to look through when she fancies a trip down memory lane and so this opportunity would be used for that purpose.

The Saal Professional Line Photobook is available as;

  • 21×21 – From £59.99
  • 22×30 – From £69.99
  • 30×21 – £69.99
  • 30×30 – £84.99
  • 40×30 – From £129.99

Creating your Saal Professional Line Photobook can be achieved by either uploading a PDF using the Saal Plug-in for Photoshop and InDesign, file templates with exact dimensions or via their Design Software that is available for Windows or Mac and there is even an app available for your phone/tablet.

From there you have a wide range of options and that starts with choosing the size of your Photobook and how many pages and then the style of cover for your Photobook.

The choice is one of the various Leather & linen styles or combine that with a Leather & Acrylic front to display a photo or group of photos and both options can have text added as you can see from the photo of the cover of the photobook that I created.

Design Software

The Saal Design Software gives you a huge range of design options and this initially threw me as I couldn’t decide how I wanted the Photobook to look.

I eventually settled for a textured background that was in keeping with the old family photos and used a drop shadow on the photos.

It is as easy as selecting the folder where the photographs you want added are kept and I would advise to sort this first. Create a folder and add all the photos you want in the book to that.

The Design Software will let you know if the image quality is okay and you can even overlap & rotate photos and have them going off of the page.

I have to admit that the options and layouts can be a bit overwhelming, you can add text, add frames and shadows to photos and even make colour adjustments and it takes a lot of organising.

You can however select your photos and allow the software to automatically add them using an AutoLayout function, but where is the fun in that?

If like me you realise you don’t have enough room, no need to worry, just add more pages as you go and you can even delete pages and it tells you how much extra or less the cost will be!

Once you are happy with your design, click the view button to preview your order.

Then you just have to add your Professional Line Photobook to the shopping basket and it will upload and take you through to the basket to checkout!

Your Professional Line Photobook can even be housed in a box for an extra fee!

Then you just have to wait!

I was blown away by the quality of the Saal Professional Line Photobook when it arrived. The Acrylic cover with the photos looks great and is a nice design idea.

The pages are thick and the whole thing is just perfection.

Needless to say that Mum was so happy, she didn’t know about it and I watched her eyes fill as she flicked through the photos in the book.

So needless to say, I highly recommend the Saal Professional Line Photobook!
