Well it has been a while but here is a review of a beard oil and it is from the consistently strong Runesilk, The Silk Road Beard Oil.
Yes Runesilk has been a brand that has not so far put a foot wrong and that I think makes their reviews even more ‘YIKES‘, because can Daniel who is the owner and creator, keep it up?
The Silk Road beard oil is a comlex blend of;
- Grapeseed Oil
- Borage Seed Oil
- Argan Kernel Oil
- Jojoba Seed Oil
- Vitamin E
- Sunflower Seed Oil
- Propylene Glycol
It is a light going into the medium thickness consistency and I have been very happy with the results whilst using it.
It does everything you would expect from a decent small batch beard oil and I can say that you would not be disappointed.
Now if I have to pick up something it is the Propylene Glycol, it says it works by reducing thickness. Personally I would love the oil to be thicker.
I haven’t had a good thick beard oil for a long while and I know many others who would love that.
The scent blend is also very complex
- Geranium Bourbon
You are not going to drop some in your hand and be able to tell what this blend is but you will pick up some of them.
The earthy, slightly pungent Patchouli is there at the front but not by far and the blend is warm, rich, spicy and so beautifully blended.
There is a select group I regard as being masters of scent blending and Daniel is firmly in there.
After reviewing well over 600 beard products I am in no doubt that scent blending is the trickiest part of the process and not something I would want to tackle!
It is no surprise that I am giving this oil the ‘Golden Beard Award’, it is a beard oil that like all of the Runesilk products, is bound to impress anyone that purchases it.
The Silk Road beard oil is available from the website costing £14.99 for the 30ml oil in a glass bottle with a dropper dispenser.
