We received a Rise Coffee Box for review, oh the hardship, this product testing is hard work!

I am not a regular coffee drinker, but I do occasionally enjoy a cup of proper coffee!

But the problem is that when we do a cafetière of coffee, it always tastes rough and I have tried purchasing different strengths but it is usually bitter and I regret it.

I found out a couple of years ago that most of the ground coffee sold in supermarkets is a bit stale.

But in the Rise Coffee Box, because it is a subscription and each time you get coffee from a different roaster or roasters.

The Rise Coffee Box on a Monthly, Fortnightly or Bi Monthly costs £16.99, and you can have it supplied as;

  • Whole Bean
  • Ground Coarse (Cafetiere – Clever Dripper)
  • Ground Medium (Aeropress – V60 – Chemex)
  • Fine (Espresso)

Each RISE coffee box contains at least two bags of handpicked, premium coffee from our independent roasting partners. Our bag sizes are 227-250 grams each. Depending on how strong you like your coffee, that’s about 20-30 cups of coffee every month if you’re using whole beans, and slightly more if using ground beans.

Yes the box contains two bags of coffee, you get a sweet treat and this month it was a bar of mint chocolate and the chocolate was so, so dark, let’s just say it didn’t last long!

You also get a leaflet on the months’ coffee’s supplied and a recipe. I did assume it would be a coffee based recipe but this month it was an alcohol-free Mojito.

I decided I wouldn’t actually review the supplied coffees as I think this is more about the subscription service and as the coffee’s change every month, you won’t be getting these coffees.

But suffice to say, I enjoyed both of the coffees supplied this month which was Unorthodox Coffee ‘Mindblown’ and Perception Coffee Roasters ‘Brazil Paraiso’. However, Mrs R said that she got a strange back note from the ‘Brazil Paraiso’.

Rise Coffee Box also sell a decaf Coffee box that costs £18.99 every month and is available as;

  • Whole Bean
  • Ground Coarse (Cafetiere – Clever Dripper)

And they are about to start a Coffee Pod Subscription that will cost £49.95 every 3 months.

You can also purchase a Mini subscription box that contains one bag of coffee costs £10.99 per month.

They also supply one off boxes and even sell their own coffees that you can purchase individually!

Rise Coffee Box review

If you are a coffee lover then head on over to risecoffeebox.co.uk and treat yourself, but I think that these boxes are also the perfect gift for a coffee drinker.

You could purchase a box for them or even splash out and use the prepay option to gift them either 6 months of subscription for £99 or 12 Months for £195.
