I always have to have a drink with me, I get a very, very dry mouth because of the pain meds and also because of my health it is important to stay hydrated.

But in general it is also more important now that we stop using and discarding plastic bottles, we are destroying this planet with waste plastic!  https://plasticoceans.org/

However for most people the reason why the Sho Fortis bottle would be a good purchase is because it is a great product and it does exactly what they say it does!

I have got the sipper lid for the Sho Fortis as it makes it easier to just pick up and have a sip. I filled the Sho Fortis with some lemon squash and I sat outside on the deck enjoying the sun. Four hours later I picked up the bottle and the outside was quite hot from being in direct sunlight, normally this would mean a warm drink and that is rarely pleasant.

However the drink inside was still icy cold, the direct sunlight had no effect on the contents!

The Sho Fortis bottle has a capacity of 590ml and is made from stainless steel with a powder coated finish that has a very slight rough texture that is great to provide some grip and measures 8 x 8 x 23 cm and weighs a mere 390g.  Available from the Sho website for £19.99 with 10% off until the end of July using code SATONMYBUTT10

The Sho Fortis is available in Bright Blue that I have, Pastel Pink, Lemon Yellow, Jet Black and Aqua and comes with the original stainless steel Fortis lid.

I have the sipper lid which makes drinking from the Sho Fortis very handy and you can also get a stainless steel carry lid with D ring so the bottle could be clipped to something like a rucksack with a caribiner.

I have a few different styles of bottle, the plastic with the nipple style sip lid and one with a long tube and a bladder that fits in the ruck sack that sits on the back of my wheelchair. However I rarely use them and in the summer the contents warm up quickly.

This is without doubt an amazing drinks bottle, it is easy to hold and the wider base makes it very stable around clumsy people like me.

Of course I had to test the Sho Fortis with a hot drink and so I filled it up with the equivalent of two mugs of tea and a few hours later I still managed to struggle as I sipped a drink that was too hot to drink!

UPDATE!

12 months on and the Sho Fortis bottle is still at my side 24/7. I love this product and it is now one of ‘Can’t be without’ products.

I am better hydrated, I always have cold water to hand and I am in love with this product!

What I really love is that when I go out, I take my Sho bottle with me, there is no need to buy water in a plastic bottle that is then discarded and spends countless years before breaking down.

Water bought in plastic bottles has to be a massive hit on our planet and it is pointless, we pay a lot of money for something we get from our taps at a fraction of the cost and it has been proven that there is no benefit from these bottled waters.

Your Sho bottle would soon pay for itself!

I asked Sho what difference the various lids made to the insulation of the Sho Fortis.

Here are their temperature ratings over 12 hours (water at 99°c degrees to begin with):

3 hours
Original Lid – 75°c
Carrier Lid – 80°c
Sipper Lid – 70°c

6 hours

Carrier Lid – 68°c
Sipper Lid – 60°c

9 hours

Carrier Lid – 59°c
Sipper Lid – 52°c

12 hours

Sipper Lid – 45°c

The Sho Bottles are also available as the Original SHo Bottle that comes in 260ml, 350ml, 500ml, 750ml & 1000ml and the Sho Food Flask that comes in 600ml & 800ml.

MARY’S MEALS

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY

10% of all profits made by SHO are donated to Mary’s Meals – A special & unique Charity who we are equally excited and grateful to help.

In 2015 our Founder Simon decided that we should help those who are less fortunate than ourselves, and the search for a cause to sponsor began.

Mary’s Meals first crossed paths with SHO when Simon’s parents spoke to a representative of Mary’s Meals at St Catherine’s Church in West Drayton. They were taken aback by Mary’s Meals mission and the fact that a minimum of 93p of every pound given to Mary’s Meals is used on their charitable activities.

Simon heard about Mary’s Meals days later and the rest is history.

Mary’s Meals vision resonates with everyone at SHO; we’re grateful for what we have and look to give back to others:

“Our vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things”
