VIDEO REVIEW AT END OF POST
Weighing in at 190g and measuring 20cm retracted the tripod will easily fit into a pocket or small kit bag.
Folded up it provides you with a way of holding your camera or phone if you use a phone holder for handheld shooting.
The plastic is pitted to help provide grip but the design with the line down each of the legs provides very good grip.
The legs are held closed by the magnets in the legs and spread out they offer a compact tripod that can support up to 3.5kg for stable usage.
You can use the tripod by screwing your camera or phone holder onto the 1/4″ thread on top of the Viewflex Multi-functional Mini Tripod or attach the ball head that also has a 1/4″ thread and by undoing the thumb screw on the side of the ball head, it can be repositioned down, so your camera is then changed from landscape to portrait.
This is a very handy bit of kit and will be very useful.
I do however have one issue about the tripod that I need to mention!
The 1/4″ screw on the tripod itself does loosen off. This means that if you are screwing and unscrewing cameras etc. the screw ends up going down and this means two things happen.
You end up with less thread and so your device may not be as secure and also the metal disc becomes loose and so the legs are not secure.
Now yes this is something you need to keep an eye on, but it shouldn’t happen in the first place. I will place some thread lock on it, but I think the manufacturer should look into making sure this doesn’t happen!
So that is something to beware of if you have one and something to consider if looking to purchase one!
