And following on from the Brady Beard Oil, here is the review of the Wild Hare UK Brady Nourishing Balm.
Wild Hare UK have really impressed me with these two scents in the oil and balm and also not forgetting the Wild Hare Clay!
We really are spoilt for choice for handmade small batch beard care products in this country and Wild Hare UK is one brand that I can safely say that you are safe giving them your money as the products that follow are bound to please!
The base for this balm is a blend of;
- Camelia Tea
- Mango Butter
- Grapeseed oil,
- Jojoba oil, Bees wax,
- Shea Butter
- Rosehip oil
And the result is a smooth and soft beard balm.
I can appreciate a good beard oil, but my preference is balm, it means that my messy beard can be brushed and styled and it stays that way. Well unless I sit there messing with it and that happens often!
This is a nice balm, it is easy to scoop from the tin, and it does what I expect from a good balm. It softens my beard, it helps me to keep it looking as good as possible.
It also is not greasy and you may think that is a weird thing to say but there are some very cheap mass made balms that are greasy and just, well they are vile (mentioning no names!). #gbg 😉
The Brady scent is a blend of;
The first scent that you get is the Spearmint and I really do like spearmint, in my opinion it is the best of the mints scent wise and works so well in beard care. Then after that you get a floral scent and the two work well together but that is what this old boy gets and I am not getting anything else, but I like it.
I hadn’t got a clue what a Pomegranate scent was like, and so I headed for Google.
One article described it as a fantasy fruity note, sweet and sour, spicy and leathery’, I will take their word for it and whilst it must add something to this blend, my 53-year-old nose was unaware of it!
But it is a nice fresh scent and I like it.
For me the Rose scent was the better of the two products that I got to try from Wild Hare UK, but this brand has really impressed me and I have no problem giving them another Golden Beard.
I love the Wild Hare UK branding and this also adds to the appeal of this brand. Branding is so important and the fun and playful branding is spot on!
The Brady Nourishing Balm comes in a 30ml tin and costs £9 from the Wild Hare UK website.
