I have been sent a batch of beard care products from the Swedish brand and this is my review of the Mr Bear Family Woodland Beard Brew.

The Beard Brew is the brands name for their beard oil and the oils are available in a 30ml or 60ml size.

Mr Bear Family beard care products

It is the branding and the way the products are packaged that first impresses me, the box of beard care products are protected by screwed up brown paper that is printed to look like an old newspaper advertising page and in there are of course some Mr Bear Family ads.

The Beard Brew comes in a card tube with a tin or aluminium lid and it is the little touches like this that I love.

The Beard Brew is a blend of;

  • Apricot Kernel Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Argan Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Rosehip Oil
  • Sunflower Seed Oil

It is a very nice oil blend, it has a medium consistency and that feel of quality when you drop some of the Beard Brew into your hand.

I would say that it is a very nice oil although not one that I would feel the need to scream about from the rooftops, but I can promise you that you would not be disappointed.

The Woodland scent is a blend of;

  • West Indian Sandalwood
  • Rosemary
  • Lavender
  • Rosewood
  • Cedarwood
  • Pine

I have mentioned before that I am not a Woodsy scent fan, and it takes a lot to win me around with the woodsy scents.

This blend is slightly woodsy, it has floral notes and a slight warmth to it, and it is a woodsy scent that I like.

For me the issue with some woodsy scents is that they are too heavy and often the stronger pine scent blends make me think of toilet cleaners but Mr Bear Family have definitely managed to keep away from making it too strong, it is very nicely done.

This beard oil blend is Vegan Friendly!

The 30ml Beard Brew costs SEK 219,00 and the 60ml costs SEK 339,00 from the Mr Bear Family Website which is Swedish Krona and at today’s exchange rate that is £18.82 & £29.12

So slightly higher priced than average for a small batch and handmade beard oil.
