I have been sent the Golden Beards Beard Shampoo and Conditioner for review purposes.
I received the Beard Shampoo and Conditioner as part of the Golden Beards ‘Beard Starter Kit’
I am a firm believer in using a ‘made for beards’ shampoo and conditioner, hair shampoos will likely strip the oils out of your beard and that is counterproductive as we spend so much time and money feeding our beards with oils.
I didn’t get a huge amount of lather from the shampoo and had to use a bit more than I usually would to get a decent lather. This is likely down to the fact that I live in a hard water area and hard water reduces the amount of lather produced.
But I did feel like I got an okay wash from the shampoo and I guess the one bonus of less lather is an easier rinse. The shampoo is an almost gel like liquid that has a nice Lavender scent.
I followed this up with the conditioner which is creamy in consistency and white and also has a lavender scent from the Carshalton Lavender used.
I was happy with the results from the shampoo and conditioner, but I wouldn’t rave about it. It did the job and left my beard feeling softer.
Lavender History: Carshalton Lavender is a not-for-profit community project that manages 3 acres of lavender in Carshalton Beeches, Surrey. This area was once famous as “the lavender capital of the world”, and we work to keep the heritage of local lavender alive for current and future generations.https://www.goldenbeards.com/collections/beard-combos/products/beard-conditioner-pack
The Golden Beards Shampoo and Conditioner combo costs £18 from the website.
I do think that is a tad high on price as I personally prefer the beard soaps which come in a lot cheaper.
