I have been sent the Alfriston Bergamot & Rose Geranium Beard Balm for review purposes from The Brighton Beard Co!

Exquisite!

Superior Product
SUPERIOR PRODUCT GOLDEN BEARD AWARD

I had originally put this beard balm further down the queue of products from The Brighton Beard Company, but when I posted a photo of the products when they arrived, someone then questioned if the price of this balm was warranted.

So I bumped it up the queue as I couldn’t wait to see if it was.

And yes, I see why it is priced at £32 for 60ml and if I was looking for a beard care product and had the disposable income, then I would buy it!

So why do I think it is so good?

Well let’s start with the ingredients!

  • Shea Butter
  • Beeswax
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Moringa Oil
  • Broccoli Seed Oil
  • Tea Tree Oil

As you can see, there are a couple of oils in the blend that aren’t the usual in beard care products.

I admit that I was unsure what Moringa Oil was.

It is apparently one of the first carrier oils used by man and was used by the Egyptians. It comes from the seeds of the Drumstick Tree and has gained a lot of interest and one resercher called it “one of the most useful trees in the world

Moringa Oil will healp to with the health of your beard hair and also help to strengthen it.

Broccoli seed oil acts like a natural silicone and coats the hair to give a healthy sheen or lustre and so make the beard feel soft and should also help to stop tangles.

Carrier oils vary in price not only depending on the plant it is taken from but also the method of extrating the oil. Cold pressed oils oils are better quality, however some seeds have to be hot pressed.

Anyway, this balm is just amazing, it is a creamy smooth and pale balm with a just under medium consistency and the results are an extremely soft beard, my beard looks good and it gives a nice slight hold.

It is a beautiful balm!

The Scent

Oh wow, the Bergamot & Rose Geranium is stunning!

The scent is long lasting, it’s floral and very slightly spicy when you warm it in your hands or smell it straight from the jar and on my beard I keep getting the powdery scent of turkish delight.

I am going to say that this is going up there sharing the top spot as one of my joint favourite beard balms ever!

  1. Hey Zec, did you happen to try the Alfriston beard oil when you reviewed all of The Brighton beard company’s products? Just wondering your thoughts on it if you did and if its worth the price like the balm is?
