The Bear Head Grooming Peppermint Cream Beard Wash is a burst of minty freshness that doesn’t hold back on scent!
When the owner and creator of Bear Head Grant told me he was sending the beard wash for review, he said he was interested in seeing how it worked in the hard Essex water.
Of course in the soft water areas products produce more lather and it takes less product to get good results and I am envious as I hate the hard tap water we have here!
The Peppermint Cream Beard Wash did indeed struggle to produce a lather for me. It’s a shame because without a rich lather you don’t feel like you get such a good wash and of course without a good lather it is difficult to spread the product through your beard and lather does help to get rid of the dirt and particles in the hair.
Now it isn’t impossible to get products to lather in hard water, yes it is easier for those products that are packed full of chemicals but there are also natural products that have produced a good lather in the tap water here.
The Bear Head Grooming Peppermint Cream Beard Wash is SLS, SLES and paraben free and instead uses oxygenated aloe vera and wheat proteins to soften the hair follicles.
I did feel like the beard wash cleansed my beard but I did have to use quite a lot and it was more work to get the product through my beard hair.
The Bear Head Grooming Peppermint Cream Beard Wash comes in a 100ml flip top plastic bottle and costs £10.99 from the website.
