Review of the Bear Head Grooming Braveheart Beard Balm
1 min readThe Bear Head Grooming Braveheart Beard Balm has been one that I have been wanting to try, I have heard from guys about the scent and it is popular.
The scent is a blend of Lavender, Mandarin, Frankincense and Patchouli and the result is a floral, slightly citrus with a slight warmth, and musty sweetness from the frankincense and I personally would like that frankincense to be a bit more prominent.
The base of the balm contains Shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, almond oil & hemp seed oil and the result is a nice balm that left my beard with a nice hold and feeling soft.
The balm was however a bit gritty and this has most likely occurred during the heating or cooling of the Beeswax and Shea Butter.
For me that isn’t a big negative, it means you just have to work the balm a bit more but obviously the ideal result is a smooth balm.
*EDIT*
Grant has now sourced some new Shea Butter for the Bear head balms and this has resol;ved the grainy texture in them.
