Review of Cuffs & Co Beard and Moustache Wax & Comb Set.
The comb in this set is in my opinion merely a novelty, it may be okay to pop in a pocket for your tash but as for the beard, no chance!
The wax is not really a wax, it is no where near firm enough to offer any hold to my tash, it is more a sloppy consistency balm and really doesn’t perform as a wax in any way at all.
I was able to test it on my tash as I didn’t have any moustache products in the queue and it says it can be used on the beard, so what I have done is slip it into the beard care queue and I will also give it a go on the beard at a later date and report back and edit this review.
So it is now a later date and as promised I have used the Cuffs & Co Beard and Moustache Wax on my beard. When I published the original review that you can hear in the podcast above, Cuffs & Co replied saying that the product wasn’t really a tash wax as we are used to, but a styling product for tash & beard (confused? me too!).
So I have used it on my beard and indeed my beard does feel softer and it gives it some hold to keep it looking tidy! However I think their downfall here is the size of this product, for anyone with a decent sized beard this tin is way too small at 10ml and my opinion is that producing a larger tin would make the product more popular.
The Sandalwood scent is not too bad and I quite like it and so the product certainly has legs but as a beard balm rather than a tash and beard wax. So a larger size and a change of name and this could be a decent seller!
Also Cuffs & Co have commented on this review and you can see that below.
The 10ml Cuffs & Co Beard and Moustache Wax & Comb Set costs £4.99 from the website and they can be bought seperately £2.99 for the comb and£3.99 for the wax.
Cuffs & Co – About Us.
Cuffs & Co was founded in 2003 from a passion in unusual cufflinks by Phil Pinder, and we began by selling cufflinks online and through premier gift markets in London. Based on this success the company opened a pop-up store in London’s prestigious Covent Garden Market in the Summer of 2004.
We were born from a passion for British Made. This has us led us to create a range that is almost entirely British Made, all our metal cufflinks, collar stiffeners, socks, braces & belts are entirely British Made.
Today we run the brand from our flagship store in York’s historic Shambles. Our shop is open daily throughout the year and was once home to Saint Margaret Clitherow, who was brutally killed for harbouring a Roman Catholic Priest in 1586. The shop houses the original Priest Hole were the Priest would have hidden to escape capture.
Whether you are looking for the ultra-conservative, attention-grabbing or unique and unusual designs, you will find the perfect cufflinks for every style, occasion and taste, online at Cuffs & Co.
We regularly attend events all over the UK, if you would like us to attend and event please contact Alan Milner who is based in our York shop.
