Captain Fawcett is a brand that I have really wanted to add to the reviews and so when I was sent the Captain Fawcett CF.332 Private Stock Beard Oil from befaf, I was a happy reviewer!

Captain Fawcett

Captain Fawcett is not only a very well-known brand but also the character ‘Captain Fawcett’ is very well-known and very popular and it has to be the best marketing idea in the whole beard care industry!

The Captain Fawcett CF.332 Private Stock Beard Oil is beautifully presented, it comes in a card box with a glossy paisley like print on the inside of the box. The oil is in a clear glass bottle with a glass dropper and the oil is a golden colour that almost calls out to you to apply some.

The base is a simple blend of Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Vit E, but it is far from a simple oil, it has a lovely consistency that is very slightly thicker than most oils and is quickly absorbed into the beard hair leaving it feeling softer and feeling damn good.

The scent of the CF.332 Private Stock oil is a blend of Cedarwood, Black Pepper, Patchouli & Palmarosa that bursts out of the bottle, it is not a subtle scent. It is blended very well and is warm, floral and slightly woodsy and is up there with some of the great scents that I recommend.

I gave it 95/100 and my wife asked me what stops it from getting that perfect score and getting the ‘Golden Beard Award’ and it’s a good question. It is hard for me to explain what I look for, but obviously it is quality of base and scent but it also to get that perfect score it has to be a product that makes me groan with delight as I use it and that is really the only way I can describe it. #weirdo
