The Bart’s Amber & Moroccan Jasmine Beard Oil comes in a plastic bottle with a pump top to dispense the oil.

Review of Bart's Amber & Moroccan Jasmine Beard OilThere is a question on size of the oil as it says 50ml on the website but 60ml on the bottle and so I had to empty it to measure and it is indeed 60ml.

The base for the oil is a blend of Fractionated Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil & Argan Oil and it’s not too bad, it left my beard feeling soft but not a “feel how soft this is” soft.

Where I struggled with the Bart’s Amber & Moroccan Jasmine Beard Oil is the scent, I had imagined a delicate and warm floral scent, what I got was quite alcohol kind of aftershave type of scent that really doesn’t give what the name says.

The Bart’s perfumer says this about the scent

Bart’s Amber and Moroccan Jasmine is a delicate scent comprising notes of Amber, Moroccan Jasmine, Blackcurrant, Bergamot, Rose, Patchouli, Musk and Vanilla.

Now of course this is my opinion and after testing over 375 beard care products I have obviously been spoilt by some amazing products and some beautifull blended scents.

However at 60ml for £7.99 it isn’t going to be possible to create that scent with Essential oils and that is a shame but there is a market for these cheaper products and not everyone can afford £15-£20 for 30ml of beard oil.

About Bart’s Balm

In my 25 years of experience of shaving I have tried many different aftershave products.I could never, however, find a product which combined great performance, value and an outstanding scent.

Even when I found a suitable product I quickly became bored of using the same fragrance.

This gave me the inspiration to develop my own balms and lotions which effectively fought shaving rash, came in a variety of scents and were value for money.

I know that Argan Oil is one of the best skin products available and is used in many high end creams and lotions.  I therefore decided to use this in all of my products.

I have spent a long time perfecting my products (so long in fact that I grew a beard) and have found my skin to be much improved.

Due to my beard wearing stage I began to develop a range of Beard Oils, again using Argan Oil.

As all of my products are handmade I felt that by concentrating my efforts only on Aftershave Balm, Aftershave Lotion and Beard Oil I could offer exceptional quality and consistency of service.

So I am delighted to present to you, Bart’s Balm Argan Oil infused products.

Aftershave Balm

I offer three ranges of Argan Oil balm, Unscented, Essential Oil and Designer Fragrance Inspired.
Each balm is formulated using natural ingredients and is specially formulated, by hand, to ensure a perfect blend of ingredients which help to combat shaving rash and to cool, sooth and nourish your skin.

All Bart’s ranges are made with 100% Argan oil, combining unparalleled soothing, calming and moisturising properties.

Argan oil, combined with the moisturising and anti inflammatory properties of coconut and Grapeseed oils make Bart’s balms a truly exceptional product.

Essential Oil Range

This range combines our superb balm base with the calming, relaxing and cooling properties of 100% pure essential oils.

All of these essential oils effectively combat shaving rash, have antibacterial properties and possess a wonderful scent.

I currently offer Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, Peppermint Oil and Lime Oil within this range.

Designer Inspired Range

This range pays homage to wonderful classic and contemporary scents, some of which are regularly named in the top 10 men’s aftershaves.

My perfumer has carefully crafted a range of scents that perfectly compliment these fragrances and by adding a small amount of this to our balm base we have created outstanding products.

These fabulously scented balms all contain the same shaving rash fighting properties as the Essential oil range.

Aftershave Lotion

Let’s face it, despite smelling good aftershave can sting, dry out your skin and cause irritation.

What if you could have a great fragrance, in a moisturising, soothing and completely sting free aftershave lotion? Well you can now.

My Argan Oil Aftershave Lotions are also offered in the Unscented, Essential Oil and Designer Inspired ranges.

They are all formulated with just three ingredients; Fractionated Coconut Oil, Argan Oil and either our fragrance oil or essential oil.

These lotions are non greasy, intensely moisturising and smell absolutely fabulous!

They can be used on their own or over our Aftershave Balms.

If you like the smell of aftershave/cologne but don’t like the burn or drying effect it can have on your skin, then these products are for you.

Beard Oil

Why should shavers have all the fun?

Your beard is more than just a collection of hair, it is a statement and needs to be looked after and treated well.

In the development stage of my products I researched many weird and wonderful beard products from beard balms, to beard wax, to beard lotions, to beard butter!  It was however beard oil that gave me the best results.

Like my aftershave products my beard oils all contain Argan Oil.  I have written a short piece (available on the blog page) praising the virtues of Argan OIl but it truly is an excellent beard conditioner, beard softner and one of the best products for any grooming kit.

All of my Beard Oil offers exceptional moisturing, nourishing and itch relief properties and it is formulated utilising Fractionated Coconut, Argan and Sweet Almond Oils and either of our fragrance oil or essential oil.

It has been especially formulated to moisturise and nourish your beard, prevent “beardruff” and to relieve itchiness.

These properties, combined with our signature scents, create an outstanding product.

I hope you enjoy my products as much as I have enjoyed creating them!
