Fellows For Him ‘Arctic Blast’ Beard Oil has a scent made up from Spearmint, Tea Tree and Thyme.
As with some other oils, I found that the Spearmint really does take the lead and almost stops you from recognising the other oils in the blend. Spearmint is my favourite of the mint scents and it always reminds me of Wrigley’s chewing gum, but I was quite surprised that the Tea Tree wasn’t more prominent as that is quite a strong scent that is very recognisable.
The base is a blend of six carrier oils, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Moroccan Argan Oil, Avocado Oil, Vitamin-E Oil and Castor Oil. I like the consistency of this oil, it has a slightly thicker feel and I always prefer a thicker beard oil. A few pumps is all that’s needed (no jokes please) and the oil was absorbed into my beard easily and left my beard feeling slightly softer and gave it a healthy sheen.
Of course the oil is just as beneficial if not more so for the skin under your beard, an oil like this will have been blended to help moisturise the skin and help to prevent that damn awful itch that sends many guys reaching for a razor. It will also help to keep the follicles in good condition and so help to promote a stronger growth. The oils can even help to prevent spots forming under the beard.
The Fellows For Him ‘Arctic Blast’ Beard Oil I tested was the 30ml with the pump dispenser, it’s a nice and simple way to dispense the oil and is much better than the slow dripper stops that just end up in my bin.
