I was sent Balbo Beard Co ‘#7’ Beard Balm along with the ‘#5‘ balm and they are damn amazing.

The Balms come in a 60ml glass jar with a black screw top lid, the ‘#7’ is an unscented balm for those of you who don’t like scented beard care products or if you are adding balm on top of your favourite beard oil, but you could also mix or match scents.

The base for this scent is made up from Organic Shea Butter, Organic Beeswax, Hemp Seed Oil, Argan Oil, this has created a balm with a medium to firm consistency, it is still easily scooped from the jar and also works in the palms easily and is quickly ready to apply. A small amount goes a long way and it works into the beard very easily.

After you have worked the balm thoroughly into your beard, you are left with a beard that looks damn good and feels good. The hold is enough to keep the beard tidy but not so much that it feels unnatural.

I previously tested the Balbo Beard Co beard oils and I awarded the ‘#3′,#5′ and the ‘#8′  beard oils the Gold Cup Award and the Sandalwood beard soap was also so amazing that it got the award. I was very impressed with the brand and now the new beard balms and moustache wax has pushed Balbo Beard Co way up. So much so that they just have to be given a place in my Top 3 brands, which means a shuffle about, but that was always likely as I tested more products.

As I previously said, the balm comes in a 60ml glass jar with a black screw top lid and costs £9.99 from the website. As I have said in the review for the ‘#5’balm, my advice is get in quick because I know that just like the soap, these will be sold in very little time!

The balms are also available as

  • #1 – Sandalwood and Grapefruit – £14.99
  • #2 – Sweet Orange, Ylang Ylang and Cinnamon – £14.99
  • #3 – Sandalwood and Pure Sicilian Bergamot – £14.99
  • #4 – Peppermint and Ylang Ylang – £14.99
  • #5 – Sicilian Bergamot, Patchouli and Sandalwood – £14.99
  • #6 – Sweet Orange, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus – £14.99
  • #8 – Cedarwood, Lime, Pure Sicilian Bergamot and Grapefruit – £17.99

You can keep up to date with Balbo Beard Co on Facebook and Instagram and Rhian also makes soaps under the name of Magpie Hill Soap and the soaps are also made to the same standard and very well priced.
