I was sent Balbo Beard Co ‘#5’ Beard Balm ahead of its launch and oh my sweet beard God’s it’s amazing!
The scent of the Balbo #5 beard balm is Patchouli, Pure Sicilian Bergamot and Sandalwood and it is damn good, Rhian is very good at blending the scents and you have to have a smell of her oils and balms to appreciate this skill.
The base for this scent is made up from
- Organic Shea Butter
- Organic Beeswax
- Hemp Seed Oil
- Argan Oil,
This has created a balm with a medium to firm consistency, it is still easily scooped from the jar and also works in the palms easily and is quickly ready to apply. A small amount goes a long way and it works into the beard very easily.
Once worked into the beard hair, Balbo Beard Co ‘#5’ Beard Balm gives a nice hold and it left my beard feeling bloody great and looking so good that I just couldn’t resist a selfie!
I previously tested the Balbo Beard Co beard oils and I awarded the ‘#3′, ‘#5′ and the ‘#8′ beard oils the Gold Cup Award and the Sandalwood beard soap was also so amazing that it got the award. I was very impressed with the brand and now the new beard balms and moustache wax has pushed Balbo Beard Co way up. So much so that they just have to be given a place in my Top Brands, which means a shuffle about.
The balm comes in a 60ml glass jar with a black screw top lid and costs £5.99 for 15ml or for the 60ml just an extra tenner from the website.
You can keep up to date with Balbo Beard Co on Facebook and Instagram and Rhian also makes soaps under the name of Magpie Hill Soap and the soaps are also made to the same standard and very well priced.
I reviewed this back in May 2017, this was before I started the YouTube reviews. I have now reviewed over 600 beard care products of which 185 have been balms and 15 butters and I have to say that if I had to pick one as my favourite, it would be the Balbo #5 Balm!
