Before 2016 I hadn’t used a bar of soap since I was in my early twenties, back when I was a kid there was always a bar of soap next to the sink or in the shower, but that changed and we started using liquid products.

I have received a bar of One Tribe Beard Soap and this is the eighth bar of beard soap that I have received in the past year and I now don’t use shower gels, I use these soaps all over in the shower.

Soap has now made its way back into our daily cleansing routine and most of the popular ones like this one from One Tribe are handmade and are made to not be harsh like standard soap and liquid wash, they shouldn’t strip the oils out of your beard and so it’s always best to use a Beard Soap or wash.

The 100g One Tribe Beard Soap is as I said handmade and natural, it contains Aqua, Sodium Hydroxide (which is made from Salt) Essential oil, Shea Butter and Coconut oil and has a cream colour. It has a very neutral scent and quickly produces a creamy lather even in the hard Essex tap water.

I used the One Tribe Beard Soap in the shower and used it as an all over soap, I have a grade one cropped hair and so I just soap that as well and the soap left my beard feeling clean and feeling soft and also left my entire body feeling clean. I love the feeling of being freshly washed with soap, much better than the shower gels we have all been using.

Of course it is important to not wash your beard too often, unless of course your job leaves it contaminated with dirt or grease! I wash my beard in between product tests so every third day. Other than that, I rinse my beard in fresh water in the morning and then again before bed.

The 100g One Tribe Beard Soap is available from the One Tribe Etsy shop for £5.50

Based in West Wales, UK. One Tribe Beard Balms uses 100% Natural Ingredients and a blend of the best Essential Oils available on the market.
