Our Canon printer became a useless waste of space after displaying an error message that would not disappear no matter what I tried or how many times I swore at it!
So I have been searching Amazon for printers, a waste of time really as I have 10p to my name but it’s raining and I am bored.
“Get on with it Zec!”
Anyway, I always say to buy a printer that has seperate colour cartridges as the all in one colour cartridges can waste ink and money.
However whilst searching I came across the Epson EcoTank ET-2710 that doesn’t have any ink cartridges and I applaud Epson for doing this. Ink cartridge sales must bring in a lot of money for the printer manufacturers and so this is a product that really helps us whilst cutting down on their profits!
So what is so different?
Well for many years now you have been able to buy 3rd party kit that is basically ink reservoirs that attach to your printer meaning you don’t need cartridges. However they are ugly, you can’t fully close the lid of your printer and it risks flooding your printer with ink!
Epson have built this idea into this printer and as it says in the description ‘SAVE ON INK: Save 90% on average ink costs with the equivalent of 88 cartridges worth of ink included‘
Now yes I know that the printer itself is £178.99 but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that in the long run, you will save money!
A pack of the original Epson EcoTank inks costs £25.93 from Amazon on Prime and that is the equivalent of an approximate page yield of 6500 per bottle. (Click photo for link)
Finally a printer manufacturer has really put a printer on the market that will offer cheap home printing!
