This week I received a Medipen Cannabinoid Vaporizer.

I wrote some time ago about using CBD oil in a vape to help with the pain, I am in pain 24/7 and I take a lot of meds to try to help but the reality is that our bodies become used to the meds and we grow tolerant of them and so they become less effective. Of course the solution is often to up the dosage but that is concerning and we can’t just keep on taking more and more meds.

I was under the local pain management team but they basically said they couldn’t do anymore and so discharged me from the service. This was after having been wrongly prescribed a drug that was twice as strong as I should have had and I ended up in A&E with breathing difficulties.

So when I read up on Cannabinoids and the success people were having from using it, I was keen to try it and so I started vaping CBD oil in a standard vape.

I did have some success with it, I wouldn’t say it stopped the pain but it helped me cope with the pain. It was almost like the pain was put to the back of my mind. However the vape was big and it has to be kept upright at all times, if not the oil will leak out and its messy and also expensive so you don’t want to waste it.

The Medipen is as the name implies a pen like device, a cartridge containing the Cannabinoid oil with a mouthpiece attached screws onto the Medipen base.

Unlike normally standard vapes, the Medipen can be laid down without fear of it leaking and it is light and easy to use. No buttons, no settings, just suck on the mouthpiece and the green lights on the base illuminate and you get the vapour from the CBD oil.

I expect many people are worried about using something like this, I have never smoked and so I understand the concern. This device does not burn anything, so it isn’t smoke, it is heating up the liquid and a vapour is then breathed in and you won’t be coughing and spluttering. It is smooth and if you choose a flavoured oil, you get a slight taste of that flavour.

It is not illegal and you won’t get a high, the high, the psychoactive element of Cannabis is called THC and this oil does not contain THC or has such a small amount that it is impossible to get that high.

You cannot overdose on Cannabinoids unlike the meds we are prescribed and you won’t get any side effects from it.

This is not a review, I will write that once I have had a chance to use the Medipen for some time. It would be impossible to comment at this point as my pan levels fluctuate a lot and for no apparent reason and so I need to evaluate the Medipen for probably a month or more. It would be wrong to comment before, but what I can say is that this is the way to vape CBD.

Also and it’s a small extra, the Medipen has a rubber base that works with a touchscreen phone or tablet and so you can hold the pen and use your smart device.

I will be writing some further articles on CBD and how it works and what it can help with.

Produced with high quality, natural, organic ingredients

We use only the highest quality legal cannabinoid extracts combined with Pharmaceutical Grade Coconut Oil (refined for inhalation) to produce or proprietary signature gold blend formula. Our natural extracts are sourced from cutting-edge strains of the Cannabis plant grown in the US and EU grown specifically to maximise the presence of non-psychotropic legal cannabinoids. This enables us to create our powerful, natural cannabinoid formula found in every MediPen® using only the highest quality raw plant matter available, unlike other cannabinoid products which generally use inferior parts of the hemp plant such as stalks and seeds to create a much weaker blend.
