I never imagined that I would join any of the political parties, I like many don’t trust any of them because I have never seen any of them that have made real change, change for the people.

For the past decade my disability has worsened and I am now unable to work, that is a hard thing to have to deal with and it takes everything I have to cope with the pain and being housebound. So the unfair assessments that were introduced and the scrapping of DLA for PiP has made it twice as hard to cope.

I have to admit that I have not being that fond of Jeremy Corbyn, I firmly believe that whilst nuclear weapons are evil and I hope they are never used, I believe that whilst they are kept ready, it actually makes the chance of nuclear weapons being used very, very low and so I am against scrapping them. I also I support our military and again think we should have a strong military and military hardware across all three of the forces.

However it is clear to anyone with any sense that Jeremy Corbyn is in politics because he wants to make a change for the better, he isn’t a career politician, he is in the role because he is passionate about making sure that the people of this country are looked after.

On the opposite side you have the vile Theresa May, she is clearly in politics as a career, she does not care about the people and only serves to make the rich even richer at the expense of everyday people!

I am not very politically minded, I don’t fully follow or understand the workings of the government. However I do know that we cannot carry on the way we are. I was born in 1967 and when I was a child the man of the house worked a 40 hour week and his wife could stay at home and care for the family. Now I am not saying that is the way it should be, what I am saying is that back then one person could work and support the family and retire comfortably. Now both members of the household work full time and still struggle to afford to buy a house and pay the bills.

Our NHS is drowning because of cuts and an increased population and the Tories are happy because it’s an excuse to privatise it. Again like the Royal Mail this will make the richer even richer at the cost of our health.

One thing is very clear and that is that change is needed, change is wanted and the people of the UK will eventually stand up and say enough. My fear is that this Conservative government will makes things so bad for everyday people that we will see mass protests and the subsequent violence that spills out from people who have been pushed too far.

I joined the Labour Party because change is needed and it’s needed quick!
