Just over a year ago, I posted a review of the Flare Audio Calmer, and now I have been sent the Flare Audio Calmer Pro to review.
I highly recommend the Flare Audio Calmer and below is my original YouTube review of the product.
They completely amazed me!
When you place them into your ear canal, the sound changes. It creates a stillness, it is actually almost undescribable but it is for me almost like they create a meditative sensation.
And so the name ‘Calmer’ is spot on!
“For years, our team have been re-thinking the design of audio speakers and earphones and developing technology to reduce the detrimental distortion that traditional approaches can’t address. During this process I experienced a Eureka moment, and uncovered a way to target distortion at source; in the human ear itself.”Davies Roberts, CEO and Inventor
And so when I received the Flare Audio Calmer Pro, I initially wondered why people would pay the £49.99 price tag for these rather than pay less than half the price for the originals?
Flare Audio Calmer Pro
Slide the card slip off and the black box is opened by lifting the top and the Calmer Pro’s are presented in the inner that has ear shapes moulded into it.
Lift that section up and underneath is the mesh bag you get with all Flare Audio earplugs, some ‘Flare Upgrade’ stickers and a leaflet on the Calmer’s.
The difference between the standard and Pro versions of Calmer are that the Pro are the Soft silicone outer with precise aluminium core inside and Flare Audio is known for its precise aluminium products.
As soon as I started using these Calmer Pro, I realised that this wasn’t just a fancy version designed to generate more profit, for me, they sit in my ears better and I was convinced that I would have preferred the soft silicone over the Pro’s with the aluminium insert.
I will be using the Calmer Pro from now on!
I suffer from hypersensitivity and anxiety and when I place the Calmer’s into my ears, that change in sound makes a massive difference.
It creates a stillness, an almost Zen like sensation, and I am so frustrated that there is no way to fully describe the sensation. It is really like going from the sound of a scratchy old vinyl record to 4k sound.
And having seen many posts from users of the Calmer’s, I know that they have made a big difference to the lives of many people.
I always thought the only option was to always wear the Flare Audio Isolate ear plugs, but these really do help me a lot, I haven’t been through diagnosis (haven’t got the energy) but it seems that I am on the Autistic spectrum and I struggle with certain sounds and also when there are a lot of noises at the same time, especially multiple conversations and the Calmer ear inserts help to reduce it.
You can keep up to date with Flare Audio on their website and on the social media channels.
