I had been sent a Sea Salt Hair Spray as part of a package of products for review and loved it, but as our finances are tighter than Priti Patels immigration policy, I couldn’t afford to replace it and so I looked at DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray.

There are many variations of the recipe out there but often we have to use the items we have at hand, especially if like me you are broke.

The Sea Salt part is easy, we had sea salt in the cupboard.

Half a Cup or 118ml of warm water with a tablespoon of sea salt and stir until the salt dissolves.

That is the base and then people add various other ingredients!

You can add Argan oil or another carrier oil of your choosing, and that is about a teaspoon or 3 ml.

Some people add Aloe Vera Juice to the mix and some people add a couple of tablespoons of hair conditioner but really it is up to you and the great thing is, you can experiment to find what works best for you!

So as I was using what I had to hand, I made up the salt water and then grabbed a beard oil out of the drawer and went for the Mariner Jack Libertalia.

That way I am getting a very good blend of carrier oils and also a nice scent!

Adding some Essential Oils to your mix is a great way to make the final product smell nice.

And just like that, I had 125ml of Sea Salt Hair Spray that didn’t cost anything other than the ingredients I had in the house already.
