Review: Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash

2 min read

I was very happy to get a message from The Bedfordshire Beard Co saying they wanted to send out some samples for review, I have a few brands that are on my reviews wish list and these guys were on there, they are one of the very well known big players in the Beard care products business. I keep a well organised spread sheet of what comes next and balms and oils take their place but the Beard Washes, Shampoo’s and Soaps get tested quite quickly.

And so today I used the Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash, I use beard cleansing products twice before reviewing, once in the shower and once at the sink and of course I have to mention that it’s important to not wash your beard too often.

Housed in a plastic bottle with a flip open  lid, Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash has a fresh and woodsy scent. The first thing I look for is whether or not it lathers up in the hard water in our area, I will explain this in a separate  post, but basically you get less lather from any product in a hard water area, however this doesn’t necessarily mean the cleansing is affected, but we all like a good lather from our products, I can report that The Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash does indeed produce a lather.

I have been satisfied with the cleansing properties of the ‘Sawmill’ Beard wash, it also rinses out very easily and it has left my beard feeling slightly softer and the scent is very nice without being overpowering. The Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash  contains Aqua (Water), Capryl/caprylyl glucoside, Cocomidopropyl betaine, Glycerine (Veg), Sodium benzoate & Potassium sorbate, Hydrolysed wheat protein, Xanthan gum, Citric acid, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera) Leaf Powder, Prunus dulcis (almond oil), Vitis vinifera (grapeseed oil), Canabis Sativa (hemp oil), Prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel oil), Simmondsia chinensis (Jojoba oil), Parfum.

Bedfordshire Beard Co ‘Sawmill’ Beard Wash is available in 50ml for £5.99 or 250ml for £14.99 from their website and the wash is also available as a Mango scent.

The Bedfordshire beard Co website has not only beard care but also Apparel, Hair care and shaving products and you can keep up to date with Bedfordshire Beard Co on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
