A few weeks ago our old Dyson started to make a noise that made my ears bleed.
It was clear the motor was in trouble and quotes of almost £100 made us decide to bin it, after all it had never been as great as we had heard, one friend said “buy a shark Hoover, best Hoover I’ve ever owned and much better than a Dyson who’s Hoover’s suck and not in a good way”
So we looked online and because finances are tight, the Shark was not only purchased because of the many recommendations from friends, but also because we could pay the £249 in monthly installments!
So we purchased the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Cleaner and it has a free next day delivery.
Upon opening, it was clear that this Vaccum cleaner was very different to all the previous models we have owned.
It basically all clicks together and this also means that it can have parts separated for use in different areas!
What has impressed us the most about the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the little design details, the things that make keeping the hoover running and clean easy.
The floor nozzle unit that contains the brush Duo Clean Technology with 2 brush rolls can be opended on top to make cleaning the beater bar easy but it also contains a hair removal tool.
We all know that as soon as you start-up our vacuum cleaner, that hair and any long material will get wound around the beater bar.
Well shark have made removing this so easy, just remove the tool and run it along the groove in the beater bar and the hair can be pulled free. Also underneath the soft brush can be removed.
There is a light on top of the floor nozzle unit that is lights up green when you pull back the handle and the beater bars start working.
If this flashes red then it is telling you to clean the beater bars and if it is constant red, then the unit has over heated possibly because it is clogged.
On the top of the handle at the front is a switch, keep it down for use on carpet and up when on hard flooring and that turns on the soft brush at the front of the floor nozzle unit.
Pressing the Lift Away button removes the main unit and you have can then get the Shark vacuum cleaner under raised furniture and the lights on the front means you can see under there as well.
Or just release the hose from the top for a short tube for things like the settee, the car or the stairs or release the tube further down for a longer tube so you can hoover up those cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling.
The Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Cleaner is without a doubt powerful, when trying it out it clung to the rug in the lounge with more suck than Monica Lewinsky and so we opened the suction control port slightly which lower the amount of suction at the floor nozzle.
Emptying the Shark is also very easy, a button releases the unit and a press on the bottom clip at the front opens the base of the dust collection unit and you can open the top up for easy cleaning.
We realised how bad our old Dyson was when we saw the amount of dust the Shark collected on the first run!
This vacuum cleaner also features Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology, which captures and holds over 99.9%* of dust and allergens inside the vacuum and not back into the air you breathe.
Also the foam filters are easily removed and can be washed and dried before returning to the Shark.
Without a doubt the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Upright is the best Vacuum Cleaner we have ever owned. Not only because of its cleaning power but also because of the design and the many options you have with the click of a button or two!
So if you are looking for a new vacuum cleaner or your one is just not up to the job, I highly recommend the Shark DuoClean Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
