Well one thing can be said about Mo Bro’s products that I have previously tested and that is that the scent packs a punch and the Mo Bro’s Grooming Co ‘Vanilla & Mango’ Beard Butter does as well.
I was taken by surprise with this product, I have tested Beard Butters before and I presumed this was the same. The ‘Vanilla & Mango’ beard butter is white and has a good shine and as I dipped my finer in the tin, I was met with no resistance and my finger hit the bottom of the tin. The butter has a consistency like a moisturiser, it is smooth and so thin.
I washed my beard using the Mo Bro’s ‘Vanilla & Mango’ wash and then used the conditioner, I gave the beard a good brush and then took a small amount of the Mo Bro’s Grooming Co ‘Vanilla & Mango’ Beard Butter and worked it into my beard. I was expecting to have a very soft beard with a little hold but I was actually surprised by the amount of hold the beard butter gave.
My beard did feel softer but not as soft as I thought something like this would give, the scent as I said is very noticeable and I like the ‘Vanilla & Mango scent. The butter doesn’t give a sheen to the beard like an oil or balm.
This product was designed to sit in between a beard oil and a balm, the idea is that if you would like it to be more hydrating then you add some oil and if you want more hold, add some balm. This is a very good idea but I am not sure if guys would want to bother with this? I have asked the guys on Guardians of the Beard and will post the results!
