I was confused, Mountaineer Brand Magic Balm Coal, what is a Coal scent?

I was never going to get it, I was imagining a lump of coal but the Balm is actually Sage with Hints of Peppermint and Patchouli scented and so me focusing on a lump of coal was never going to work!

Mountaineer Brand Magic Balm Coal has a fresh scent due to the Peppermint and Patchouli always works for me in Beard care, The aromatic Sage adds a very interesting twist and Coal turned out to be my favourite out of all the Mountaineer Brand scents.

Made up in small batches Mountaineer Brand Magic Balm Coal is a blend of all natural oils and butters, Beeswax, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E oil with  essential oils of Sage, Peppermint, Patchouli with a dab of Pure Honey. This has created a Balm with a soft consistency that is easily scooped from its tin and so it also is easily warmed in your palms before applying.

It’s very important to work a balm into your beard properly, make sure that the skin underneath gets moisturised with it as well. Mountaineer Brand Magic Balm works into your beard very easily and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy or oily, what you are left with is a slight hold and all those stray hairs kept in place.

A product like this that is all Natural will help to prevent itchy and dry skin under the beard and will also help to keep the skin and hair follicles in good condition which will help to promote strong hair growth.

The scent was very likeable and my beard felt naturally softer, a small amount is all that’s needed and I can see why the brand is doing so well. I myself prefer a balm over an oil but there are times when I do like to use an oil. Balm keeps my messy beard looking better and I prefer the feel of a balm.

Mountaineer Brand Magic Balm Coal comes in a 2 oz (60g) tin and is available from the website for $12.50 which at today’s exchange rate is £10.17 or €11.88 and you can save 10% by signing up for the subscription.
