Firstly I have to say that if you want a soft feeling beard, then Lee’s Premium Beard Products ‘Cherry Licorice’ Beard Oil definitely does that!
When Lee’s Premium Beard Products asked me what oil I would like to choose from their range, the choice was easy. ‘Cherry Licorice’ was so unique that I had to test it.
Now I must mention the way Licorice is spelt here, the Americans and the British spell many words differently and this is one of them, over here we spell it Liquorice. However neither is wrong, I know that I have been questioned over certain words in the past such as Moustache (UK) or Mustache (USA), however as this is an American beard oil, it’s only right that I use the American spelling!
I have been itching to try this oil (no pun intended), when it first arrived my daughter wanted to smell it and it smelled so good. However it had to go in the queue of products to be tested and finally I have used this oil.
Initially ‘Cherry Licorice’ from Lee’s Premium Beard Products hits you with a powerful deep cherry scent, it’s just like the French Glacé Cherries that you use for baking or in cocktails. Then you get a really deep Almond like scent that comes in and it is damn good. I hate the taste of Licorice and so I am unsure of what it smells like, I asked my wife to describe the oils aroma and she said “oh yes, cherry, licorice and marzipan”, so that was no help at all.
As I said, this oil made my beard feel so soft, in fact I would go as far as saying its one of the best at making my beard feel soft and that is why I am giving this oil the Gold Cup Award marking it as one of my favourites. You don’t want to use too much of this oil because the scent is strong, but even using a small amount gave my beard a nice hold and left it feeling and looking great!
The oil is a base of Almond, Coconut, Jojoba and Argan carrier oils with a blend of essential oils to give it that ‘Cherry Licorice’ scent.
‘Cherry Licorice’ from Lee’s Premium Beard Products is available in 15ml for $8.99 or 30ml for $14.99 from the website.
